Last week Ellie brought home a note saying that she needs to wear a shirt to school tomorrow with 100 of something on it. Little projects like that make me so excited. This one threw me for a loop, though, because I wanted to make something that she could wear for just tomorrow. Really, when is she going to wear a t-shirt with 100 objects on it again?!
Mary (Robbie's mom) came up with a great idea to cut out the numbers 1, 0, 0 and attach them to a shirt. After dinner Ellie and I got to work. I cut out the numbers and stitched them to a piece of leftover fabric. The fun (okay, monotonous) part was counting out 100 gemstones and hot-gluing them to the numbers. I took this whole concoction and safety-pinned it to the white shirt.
Robbie thinks I'm crazy. I think Ellie has a fun (and rather heavy!) shirt to wear tomorrow!
