She also kept telling the girls that she had a 'little surprise' for them. Grandmother always comes with at least one surprise, so I didn't think anything of it. As soon as she jumped in the car at the airport, she said, "Are you ready for your little surprise?" Of course, both girls were more than ready! (In my head, I'm thinking, 'Did she bring something really good?!') Then she told me to slow down. Huh? Then she told me to stop the car. What? Man, this must be good!! I then looked out of the passenger side's window and saw my Aunt Teresa standing on the curb! (Teresa is sibling #12 of 12, my mom is #6...hence, the 'little' surprise...she's my mom's 'little' sister.) I screamed I was so excited!!
We had a totally non-productive weekend, but it was fantastic! In the three nights Teresa and Mom were here, we ate at home a total of one time. My favorite night was when we went to Brio at Brookwood Mall, then to YOLO, a new dessert place.
Despite incredibly slow service (but still yummy food!), the girls were fabulous at dinner. Mary Claire had a Magna-Doodle, and Ellie had a new Barbie and Ken. We know we looked pretty ghetto with a huge Magna-Doodle, but we just pretended like it was an iPad!
And Ellie entertained herself with not only Barbie and Ken, but some pizza dough, too! She made necklaces, bandages, bracelets, you name it! Seeing Barbie with pizza dough bracelet, or Ken with a cast really was funny!
As for YOLO, the dessert bar, I could go there every. single. day. I'm in love!
The last day Teresa and Mom were here, we spent a nice afternoon at the park. Mary Claire decided to show off her mad climbing skills, and of course Grandmother had to be right beside her the whole time!
The morning our sweet company left, I tried to snap some pictures of them with the girls. Unfortunately, my camera battery died after one picture. At least it's a good one of Mom! :)
What a treat to spend an entire weekend with the girls I love! Thanks, Mom and Teresa!!
