Summer Showoffs!

For the past week, Ellie has been going to a singing/dancing/show-choir-like camp every afternoon.  When I first heard about Summer Showoffs, I really didn't think El would be into it.  Every child has a solo during the end-of-the-week performance.  Oh, and 150 kids participate.  So multiply that by two (parents, siblings, etc.), and that's a lot of people to sing in front of!!
But, she loved it!  The counselors were phenomenol...they were super-encouraging and just fun!  Sweet Sophie was there, too, which made going everyday easier!  

Robbie and I were so proud of Ellie as she got up to sing her solo.  Being pregnant, I had to laugh to keep from crying because she did such a good job.  She also had a little speaking part as an intro to another song, and did great on that, too.  

Considering the kids had to learn five songs along with moves in five days, the whole thing was pretty impressive!  And, now Ellie knows how to talk/sing into a microphone without being scared!!
