Super Grandmother!

In Pennsylvania, where my Mom lives and teaches, they do not get out of school until the middle of June.  Can you imagine?!  Normally I hate it because half of our summer is gone by the time she is done with school!  This year, though, it coordinated perfectly with us coming home from the beach.

Like I said before, Mom can be a cleaning wild woman.  And believe me, my house was a haven for someone who loves to clean and purge.  Robbie took who knows how many bags to the Foundry, and both of our dumpsters were packed with trash.  If I'm in the mood, I can be quite the purger, too!  Oh, and we put shelves in the girls' armoire in their room.  Funny how two little shelves can make such a huge difference!

But let's be real.  We all know that she really came to see the girls.  They had the best time playing store, reading books, and 'baking' in the playroom kitchen.  

We also took Mom to Alabama Adventure one afternoon.

On most visits, I get pretty sad when Mom leaves because I can't just jump in the car and go see her.  But, she already has her ticket booked for twelve days in August when Baby Boy comes!  Don't worry, I will not have twelve days of cleaning for her to do...just carpooling and laundry! ;)

Funny side story...MC insisted on carrying the Bible she got when she was dedicated everywhere with her the whole time Mom was here.  This is Mary Claire at Mellow Mushroom with her Bible!
