Celebrating her fourth birthday showed both sides of our girl. Mary Claire was extremely excited to be having a birthday, but did not want any attention focused on her. And do I even need to mention that she was quite adamant about what she was going to wear?!
The night before her actual birthday, we took her to Stix (a hibachi grill). For this particular occasion she chose her favorite green dress.
She loved that the chef made a heart out of rice just for her.
Everything was wonderful until they came to sing to her. For some reason she was not happy. The people there thought it was because they scared her with a drum, but we know that Mary Claire didn't like it that everyone was singing to her. Oh this face!
Sunday was her 'real' birthday. The plan was to go to 'the McDonald's by our house' (her choice) for lunch, then go home, eat doughnuts, and open presents. With Grandmama and Granddaddy, of course! An added treat was the Jonas Family met us at church, then did lunch and doughnuts with us!! So thankful for fun friends!
MC wanted just about everything for her birthday, so we had to narrow things down. The number one request was a Rainbow Unicorn Dream Lite. Score! (See the smile?!)
At only four-years-old, Mary Claire is spunky, she is independent, she has an opinion on everything, and she makes our lives more fun. We love you, May-May!!
