Sweet Minnie

This morning, Robbie's grandmother died peacefully in her bed.  She was ninety-six years old.  Yep, ninety-six.   I love it that the people in Robbie's family live such long, healthy lives.  That means that my precious Robbie will be here forever!

Minnie is extra-special to us because Ellie's middle name is Katherine, after Minnie.  Ellie loved going to visit great-grandmother in the assisted living home and talking to her through a microphone, so that great-grandmother could hear her.  If you'll notice, Robbie is holding the little microphone device in his hand in this picture.  Ellie of course loves talking into a microphone, but it was always fun to watch Minnie's face when she heard Ellie's voice.  How fitting that the last picture we have of Ellie and her great-grandmother has that silly little microphone/headphone device in it!

Please say a prayer for Robbie's dad, as both of his parents are in heaven now.  Not a prayer for mourning or sadness, but a prayer for peace in knowing that his parents are there now together.
