Wishes

Every morning when I wake up Ellie at 6:30, I am extra-quiet so that I don't wake up Mary Claire.  Every morning I secretly wish that she will stay asleep so that I only have to worry about Ellie until I get home from carpool.  And every morning sweet Mary Claire comes downstairs ready for her day and ready for her breakfast.  Only, she never finishes her breakfast.  Instead she sneaks a ziplock baggie and puts it in there to take in the car with her.  Did I mention I also wish that some days I could do morning drop-off alone?!  Nope.  Mary Claire and her big baggie of breakfast is along for the ride every. single. morning.
On a totally different note, yesterday Ellie brought home her wish list from the school's book fair.  Apparently the teachers have gotten smart and they take the kids to the book fair armed with a piece of paper and pencil.  The kids show the teachers which books they 'wish' for, and the teacher writes them down then sends it home.  I got tickled when I pulled Ellie's out of her folder...
The Justin Bieber book was not a huge shocker.  The Auburn book, however, was.  We have been planning on buying Coach Chizik's book, so now that it benefits El's school, 'All In' will be all ours!  And no, Ellie will not be bringing home a $20 princess book.  That's great that it comes with a necklace, but The Dollar Tree sells some mighty nice necklaces, too!! :)
