She was tired of me calling her every time I had company to walk me through brewing a pot of coffee. I thought she was crazy, spending $100 on a coffee contraption that I may drink hot chocolate out of once a month. Turns out she was pretty smart.
My morning beverage of choice is a non-fat caramel mocha. From McDonald's, please.
Unfortunately, one of these babies costs $2.50. A discount from Starbuck's, I know, but I don't work anymore. :) So, after a quick Google search, I found the recipe for this yumminess.
Super Simple:
Combine a 14-ounce can of fat-free sweetened condensed milk with a 12-ounce container of caramel topping and a half-cup chocolate syrup in a heavy pot. Cook over medium-low heat for about eight minutes. Add two tablespoons to a mug of strongly-brewed coffee. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP...
But, use the sugar-free version. I hate (MC always reminds me not to use that word!) cannot stand sugar-free foods. However, you will not get that awful after-taste when using just a dollop of cream on the top of your beverage.
Once I make this divine concoction, I store it in a container in the fridge. That way I can get my fix when I need it!
