Monday was the first day back to school after Spring Break. Waking up was hard, getting Robbie and Ellie in the car by 7:25 was hard, but the rest of the day was just wonderful!
Ellie has had a loose tooth for a good two weeks. It was literally hanging by a thread for three or four days.
I just knew that it would be out before she went back to school so Ms. Tomberlin wouldn't have to deal with a loose tooth the first day back. Nope. The tooth came out before lunch! And, Ellie was a brave girl! Her class was in an assembly with local weatherman/superstar James Spann
when she pulled the tooth. Instead of running to Ms. Tomberlin with the tooth, she held it quietly in her hand until James was finished with his program! I could not believe it! So proud!!
As if losing the tooth wasn't a big enough deal, Ellie had lunch visitors! My sweet friend Stephanie and her family were town (they live in Daphne...started a church there...we LOVE them!), so she brought her girls, Avery and Addison, to each lunch with the El.
Oh my! Can you imagine the excitement?!
When I picked her up from school we drove straight to the Mickey D's drive-thru for a caramel sundae. I mean, you need something cold for where you lost your tooth! Here is Ellie sporting her tooth necklace, enjoying her sundae, and telling Grandmama about her incredible day!
While she was on the phone, I peeked in the den and saw this...
I'm really working on Robert not having to be held at all times. Everyday I put him in his playpen by himself for a little bit. MC (still in her ballet clothes!) totally defeated the purpose by just jumping in there with him. Oh well, at least he's happy!!
Fun, fun day for all of us! And now that the tooth's gone, I'm okay with it! Working on being a braver mommy... :)
