A couple of days after going to ballet, Ellie got to spend some time with her grandmama and graddaddy while I met with a lady about flowers for a wedding. One of Ellie's favorite things to do at their house is to go hiking in their backyard. What makes hiking so much fun at their house is that they have a creek in their backyard, plus it probably seems enormous to a three-year-old. To make things even more exciting, Ellie's granddaddy built her a hiking stick, and bought her camoflauge shorts and hiking boots. Obviously, it's a big change for me to see her in something other than a dress! But, she has the best time in the world, and that's all that matters! I guess I'll have to learn to like the outdoors a little bit more! What I think is wonderful is that we have this prissy little girl, but she likes to go outside and be adventurous, too...the best of both worlds!
