Picking out the pumpkin was easy. Picking out something to carve onto the pumpkin was not as easy. I went online to show Ellie a picture of a cat that I thought would be cute to put on her pumpkin. "No thanks. I want a girl pumpkin. My pumpkin's name is Miss Clavel." Yep, as in Miss Clavel from the Madeline books. So, I found a picture of Dorothy and Toto, and we did our best to carve out just the Dorothy, telling Ellie that it's Miss Clavel. So, here is our pumpkin, Miss Clavel. Let's hope that Ellie doesn't want the little girls in two straight lines on her pumpkin next year!

What a cute little pumpkin! I'm hoping to get a post done with our pumpkins. I never liked it when I was little, but now I think it's great!
