A couple of weeks ago my mom called and asked if she could come visit. Of course, I was so excited! (Anyone can come visit anytime...we love company!)
As always, Grandmother brought a fun toy for Ellie, but she also brought something a little bit unexpected...a nasty cold. Mom flew in Friday night and we were at the doctor's office first thing Satuday morning. Thank goodness she got a steroid shot and some good drugs, so she started to feel a little bit better by that night. In a strange way, I'm happy that I got to take care of her after all of the times that she's had to take care of me. And honestly, we got to spend quality time together at home. Most times when Mom is here, we are two wild women trying to conquer all of the stores in Birmingham! So, it was great to just relax for a couple of days. As any girl knows, I just love being with my mom no matter what we're doing, where we are, or even if one of us doesn't feel so hot.
