For Real

So, I am going to show you some pictures from MC's party, but first I am going to be a 'real life' blogger. (I figure after the whole tennis shoe rant, I can say anything now!) Normally I would just tell you how wonderfully happy the party was, but today I am going to give you the whole version.
It was fun. It truly was. But, it was also really stressful. Not that I did anything spectacular, but can I just say that cleaning the house and getting it 'party-ready' is not something I am great at. I get overwhelmed because I don't keep things all neat and tidy like I should. Then I get ticky with poor Robbie because he happens to be here. Once everyone is here and socializing and eating, I'm fine, but the days leading up to the actual event, well, they suck! (Sorry Mom!) I set expectations entirely too high for myself. My father-in-law said it best when he told me that I burn the candle at both ends! I want everything to be perfect and clever and unique. Guess what? Mary Claire is one...she doesn't care!
After the party, I had to arrange and deliver flowers for four, yes four, churches. I was wiped out. Then I have to feel sorry for myself because I have worked so hard and deserve a break. I need to remember that I am the one who decided to put all of this work on myself, so I need to deal with it!
Who knew that I would turn this blog into "Latham Family Ramblings!" If you're my friend, hold me accountable! Tell me like it is! And know that I love all of you who came to celebrate my sweet Mary Claire...even if I was a little stressed! It's my friends and family that make stressful times disappear, and turn into fun!

Don't be too hard on yourself, who wouldn't want a perfect party for a precious little one year like MC, you did the right thing. Think of the alternative no party and then what, that would be down right sad.

I have a lot of clothes and shoes for MC from Shannon; and they are cute and name brands. She said she did not want to give you any WalMart clothes!!!

We need to talk about the football weekend, now it is most likely going to be me and Alex, not sure if the whole fam will come.

I love your blog keep it up, it is life and that is what is beautiful :)

love you lots!!!!
