Whew!

Where do I begin?!  Last weekend was a packed one, then last week turned out to be pretty busy, too.  We spent last Saturday celebrating our friends Michael and Jenny, who will get married in January in California.  (We're going...without kids!!)  But, before we could have all of these fun people over, we had a little issue to deal with...

...a hot air balloon came extremely close to landing on top of the house across the street from us.  So close, in fact, that Robbie had to go help pull it down to the street.  We woke Ellie up from her nap so she could see the enormous balloon floating above us, then watch it land literally in our front yard.  Only pictures can do it justice!

The next day, Ellie and Grandmama went to see the Rockettes.  Grandmama is really outdoing herself this Christmas!! :)

On Tuesday, Ellie and Mary Claire went to see Santa at my school.  (Let's hope that the big box on the left isn't showing in the real pictures!)  Ellie was super-brave!!  Mary Claire, well, it's pretty obvious what she thought!!

Mary Claire was much happier a couple of days later, however, when she found the chocolate cake from the party for Michael and Jenny waiting to go to the outside trash can...

Yep, she's got on halloween pjs after lunch on this particular day.  I would love to blame it all on this,

but I'll be honest, there are lots of days when my hand is totally fine that we all still look like this after lunch!!
My hand is not throbbing quite as much this morning.  I go to the doctor in two days, and he'll take a look to see how it's healing.  Sorry for the crabby post the other day...just being real!! :)
Alright, I think I'm all caught up with pictures so the grandparents will be happy!!

I meant to tell you how WONDERFUL that cake was!! Jeremy and I ate every bite!! I can understand MC's excitement - I may even grab a bite out of the trash :) And we still have Halloween pj's in rotation - seems silly to not wear them when they fit and no one really even sees them usually :)

Oh, the look on MC's face is priceless! Yummy!! It is funny how we have in our mind that certainly things shouldn't happen, like wearing Halloween pjs all year round. But really, do we want to spend money on something that's only worn once or twice. That wouldn't be very environmentally if you ask me! Glad things are getting better. Love ya!

Yep, wear those pj's out! :) That balloon was really close. We have an amazing hot air balloon festival here that I bet the girls would love to see. If only it weren't halfway across the country!
