Hair Color Concerns...at 5!

When Ellie gets an idea in her head, it sticks.  Like a piece of stubborn gum on the sole of your shoe.  Not sure where she gets this trait from!  (wink, wink!)  
Her newest thing is that Ellie is convinced that her hair is turning brown.  Every morning she shows me a piece that looks brown to her.  Maybe I'm colorblind or the lighting is off, but I have yet to see the 'brown pieces.'
As I was walking by the refrigerator last night I got so tickled when I saw this picture:

Up at the top is a nice self-portrait of Ellie Ellis with brown 'highlights' in her hair.  

I'm actually kind of envious of her 'do because I've been wanting some highlights and lowlights for quite some time but I'm too cheap to get them!  Maybe I should have her draw a picture of me with shades of brown in my hair to see if it's worth the money!
